Code Crew Kindergarten

Mission ready. Boots on the deck.

A kindergarten coding course built from visual drag-and-drop puzzles: sequencing, patterns, and simple if-then thinking. No reading or typing required, and the first four weeks are free.

10 to 15 minutes a day, four or five days a week.

What kids will learn

Code Crew Kindergarten is the Crew Recruit chapter of the Code Crew ladder. Visual block sequences and the first big ideas: order, patterns, simple if-then thinking. No reading or typing required.

  • Recognize and continue patterns
  • Order steps to reach a goal (sequencing)
  • Spot and fix a single mistake in a sequence (debugging)
  • Understand "do this until" (loops, visually)
  • Understand "if this, do that" (conditionals, visually)
  • Build confidence solving a tricky puzzle without a grown-up nearby

Sample activities

Two short looks at what a session inside Code Crew Kindergarten actually feels like.

Week 1, Day 2: Pack the bag

Raven needs to pack for a flight. Helmet, goggles, map. Some steps have to go first, some can switch places. Kids feel the difference between "must be in order" and "any order is fine," which is the same call a real engineer makes a hundred times a day.

Week 1, Day 3: Up and Right

Rocket has to reach Planet Pebble. Kids tap arrow tiles to plot a path, hit play, and see if the route lands. If Rocket misses, swap a tile and try again. That swap is your kid's first debugging move.

Is it the right fit?

Best for ages 5 to 7 who can tap a tablet or laptop. Every prompt is read aloud so pre-readers can do it solo. If your kid is already reading chapter books, jump them ahead to Code Crew Grade 3.
